I spent this day on the west coast of Norway, told to be one of the most rainy areas of Europe. It was ! I had there my only wet day of the whole travel, with fog and so on....
As soon as I leave the camping, I follow a road which goes in the mountain, with really diferent landscapes than yesterday.
I started the day with light summer clothes. But road is still raising and I soon have to wear warm clothes. And this is why :
Snow, frozen lake....brr !
Temperature becomes a bit more normal when going down the pass, and I'm now facing a city on the mountain side, just near a fjord.
I use one of the many ferries required to cross the sea, which is everywhere. I have a few words with a very nice dutch guy. After lunch break I go to a very tight road, with unbelievly short hairpins.
Once on the top of the pass, road goes on the plateau, which is full of fog. Water is flowing on my shield, I'm cold, there are tunnels everywhere. Just like for the first pass of day, weather turns better when going down. And there is no rain any more when going in the ferrie.
But I don't thank the Viking who shot my helmet with his car !! No damages, but this could have been worst.
On the other side of the fjord, road goes in mountain again. I ride through a glacier. I heard it's amazing, bad luck I can't see further than 10m because of fog. So I decide to stop at 5 PM, hoping to have sunny weather tomorrow.
